Hot Lunch Program for Kindergarten Students

Each year, as part of the Ridgeview Parents Advisory Council (RPAC) fundraising efforts, volunteer parents organize the Hot Lunch Program.

Families are able to order a hot lunch for their children via munchalunch.com.

Before ordering, we ask you to discuss with your children what they will do if they do not like the food. Frequently, the children do not always enjoy what has been ordered, and so do not have anything substantial to eat for lunch. This leads to problems in the afternoon as your children are hungry and have difficulty self-regulating.

If you decide to order hot lunch for your child, please continue to send a morning and afternoon snack, and water bottle. Your children still need to eat snacks throughout the day; breakfast and the hot lunch is not enough to sustain them for an entire day.

Remember, this is your child’s first experience in school and they have many more years of hot lunch to come. There is no pressure to purchase any of these items. Kindergarten can be a year of exposure to one or two new things.
